CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

Town: Strigno
The origin of this Church is documented starting from 1202, while its structure was remodeled several times. On site of the current side aisles, in the fifteenth century there wes to the north the cemetery for the village of Strigno, and for the countries of Ivano-Fracena and Villa-Agnedo, a cemetery to the south.

Today's neoclassical appearance dates back to the early nineteenth century. The beautiful bell tower, of medieval origin, has a sixteenth-century cusp and an eighteenth-century clock. Interesting are the twentieth-century frescoes by the painter Antonio Fasal. Noteworthy is the marble Pietà made in the eighteenth century by the well-known Venetian sculptor G. Marchioni.

Information: The church can be visited every day from 7.00 to 20.00.
