Carzano

The village is situated the north edge of the alluvial plain of Scurelle, on a terraced slope. Thanks to its location it enjoys a sweet climate particularly suitable for the fruit farming.

The village is remembered for the battle that is called “ Sogno di Carzano” (Carzano’s  dream) which has caused the sacrifice of almost the whole 72th Bersaglieri Battalion and by the Austrian – Hungarian soldiers. The Madonna della Neve church has been proclaimed a national Monument in memory of the cruel battle. 

Sightseeing: the church of  Santa Margherita delle Nevi, the flowering of the characteristic rose of this small village in May and June, the River Park with the games and the picnic areas.
