Sant'Orsola: the sweet taste of Trentino

Strawberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, white or red currants, small kiwis and cherries. Harvested only by hand in the coolest hours of the day to preserve their delicacy, the fruits grown by Sant'Orsola are the example to follow for a local production.



A reality linked to the history of the territory and the community. It was in fact in 1972 that some volunteers from the Val dei Mocheni began cultivating strawberries on the instructions of the Province of Trento. Thus the first nucleus of the cooperative was established together with some local farmers. A very fast expansion of strawberry cultivation took place, which would then lead to the great leap forward when the search for the right varieties of the small fruit and the most suitable cultivation techniques began.
