Tenna

It is a quiet village created on a long green hill between the lakes of Caldonazzo and Levico. The park in the centre of the village, the peaceful hospitality in apartments and hotels also within the pinewood Alberé on the highest part of the hill (it represents a real natural oasis).

The military fort of Tenna dominates the lake of Caldonazzo and part of the valley. It was built in the nineteenth century by the Austrians as an essential link of a chain of fortifications setting up as the control of the transit between Trentino and Veneto.

In the centre of Tenna lies the Roman military inscribed pillar which shows the passing of the ancient “Via Claudia Augusta Altinate” extending for about 517 kilometres between the Venetian Altino and Donauworth on the Danube river.
