Bosco della Memoria
The project
“Bosco della Memoria” (Forest of Remembrance), located in the hamlet of ALBERÉ in the municipality of TENNA, was conceived in the months following the tragic passage of Storm VAIA in October 2018. The damage to buildings and, above all, to the woodland vegetation was extensive, and the entire population of Trentino immediately threw themselves into a commendable show of solidarity to rebuild the many devastated areas.
THE TRAIL
The trail is 480 metres long, and along its sides visitors can admire the 23 artworks created by Trentino artists. In addition to the trail, the two viewing points—which already existed but had been damaged by the storm—overlooking Lake Levico below have been made safe. Finally, on the large lawn below the Alpini hut, a natural amphitheatre has been created that can accommodate up to 150 people, featuring a wooden backdrop, and an entrance portal to the footpath, also made of wood, both created by the artist Marco Nones.
