Castelnuovo

The village lies at the foot of mountain Civerone, where,  according to the tradition, once there was a castle.  Castelnuovo has been a village of migration when the stream Maso and the Brenta converged.

During the postwar period the village is became a flourishing industrial centre,  even if agriculture keep its important role thanks to the fruit and wine cultivations which can be noticed riding along the cycling track to the south of Castelnuovo.

Sightseeing:  S. Margherita church which dominates the Valsugana; the master’s villa De Bellat with the adjacent agricultural station and some examples of industrial archeology, like a soaking machine and a sawmill; Villa Cappelletti and the riding stable Mascalcia.
