Canopa delle acque

The Canopa delle Acque represents an attraction of extreme value for the Argentario, for our territory and for the Valsugana: it is a perfectly preserved medieval mine dug by hand almost 1000 years ago.

The area itself in which this mine is located (the Argentario) takes its name from the silver deposits cultivated in the Middle Ages by the Canòpi, miners of Germanic origin who extracted the precious metal on behalf of the Prince Bishop. The silver that at that time was used to mint the Trento coin was from this area. 

It is possible to make a real speleological visit, with helmets and torches, to discover the underground world of the canopic trees. A leap into history accompanied by a certified guide and in total safety.
