How to dispose of waste

Sort your waste like a real Trentino resident! Waste management methods vary according to the location and type of accommodation you are staying in. Ask your host about the planned collection methods and help keep the area clean and sustainable. 

For those staying in tourist accommodation/a holiday apartment and for second homes

For non-recyclable waste and light packaging: proximity collection or access by electronic key to roadside bins. Ask your host about the collection methods for the accommodation you are staying in.
Paper and cardboard, glass, organic waste, open roadside containers.
 

For those staying at other types of facilities such as hotels and campsites:

Ask your host how to dispose of your waste correctly and use the containers at the facility where you are staying.

For tourists NOT staying in accommodation

In tourist areas there are public containers to facilitate the separate collection of household waste.

Specific information

Where do Tetrapak® containers go? Dispose of them with light packaging such as plastic bottles, cans and tins for more efficient recycling!
Reduce the volume of cardboard! Crush or dismantle the boxes before throwing them away: they take up less space and make collection easier!
Do not abandon waste outside the containers! Keeping Trentino clean is everyone’s responsibility: don’t leave rubbish on the street, always use the rubbish bins.
Whether you are walking along our beautiful lakeside promenade or on a trip to the mountains, in the park or the city, always carry a bag for your waste so you can take it home with you or back to the facility where you are staying and separate it properly.
Never abandon waste, even if it’s small, such as tissues, bottle tops, cigarette butts or till receipts,  in the environment. Use the recycling or waste bins you find along the way. Help us keep our region clean!
