Castellalto (ruins)

Town: Telve

This ancient medieval manor formed an imposing fortified system to protect the valley together with Castel Telvana, Castel San Pietro and Castel Arnana (on the hill called Castelletto but today is completely destroyed).

Reachable with a pleasant walk starting from the small village Parise near Telve, the Castellalto manor is located on the southern side of Mount Musiera. The remains of the manor, of great impact, still allow you to have a clear perception of what must have been the ancient plant of the castle.

Until recently, it was possible to see traces of an interesting medieval fresco on the part of what was probably the chapel of the castle, today unfortunately severely damaged by the weather.

On the arch of the round door of the tower is engraved the date 1556.
