St. Biagio Church

Town: Bieno

Located outside the town, it is a church of ancient foundation; it was enlarged in the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries and it was restored after the heavy damage suffered in the First World War.

The date 1606 is carved on the lintel of the main entrance. The ancient baptismal font bears the date 1587.

Above the side entrance there is an altarpiece representing San Biagio, by O. Gaigher (1929). The two holy water stoups show the dates 1300 and 1608. On the side altars, as well as in the apse, there are interesting eighteenth-century wooden statues. From the churchyard you have a beautiful view of the Valsugana and the group of Cimòn Rava.
