Bio-lake of Castello Tesino

Set in the green part of the sports area, multi-services and children's playground, the bio-lake represents a further opportunity for relaxation and contact with nature. The project started in 2014, it was then resumed between 2017 and 2018 with the intervention of the S.O.V.A., of the Autonomous Province of Trento and it was finally completed with the changing rooms, bathrooms and the arrangement of the surrounding green area.

The facility is a highlight and offers added value to the valley. The facility includes a bathing area of 700 square meters, with a maximum depth of1.40 m and it includes a children's pool with a maximum depth of 70 cm.
Its main feature is the natural purification of water through the use of natural materials, including different types of clay and gravel, which allow the water, filtered and purified naturally, or without the addition of chemical agents, to be warmer and have a lower bacterial load, allowing it to integrate perfectly with the surrounding ecosystem.

A phytotherapy area completes the proposal aesthetically along with the external service area with showers with water heated by a solar thermal system, changing rooms and nursing use. There is ample parking in the immediate vicinity. Booking is not required but the number admitted guests may be limited if the maximum capacity is reached.

RULES OF THE BIO-SWIMMING POOL
• In relation to the size of the bio-pool, it is advisable not to exceed the number of daily bathers.
• Guests are required to shower before entering the pool.
It is mandatory to wear a cap in the water
• The bio pool filter area must not be trampled on or damaged by the plants found there. 
• No object or garment shall obstruct the skimmer or water inlet in the bathtub. 
• The use of sunscreens before bathing should be limited, in order not to damage the biological mechanisms of water purification in the filter (to avoid sun oils).
• In the bio pool area, access to children and young people under 7 years of age is only allowed if accompanied by adults. 
• For infants entering the bio pool, the use of waterproof storage diapers is required. 
• Access to animals is not allowed in the bathing area - fish and other animals must also not be allowed in the water. It is forbidden to feed the waterfowl.
• It is forbidden to pollute the water. Swimmers are invited to use the toilets, located prepared in the changing rooms.
• Users are not allowed to play with a ball. 
• Swimmers are not allowed to dive.
• Swimmers will be held responsible for any damage to the facility, or its fittings caused by them.

 

WARNINGS:
In the biopool water is not treated with chlorine or other disinfectants. Swimmers are therefore required, in their interest, to maintain high levels of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
