Levico Lake

Lake Levico is the second largest lake in Valsugana and, together with Lake Caldonazzo, is among the warmest lakes in Southern Europe.


For Lake Levico, the prestigious international Blue Flag award from the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) has been reconfirmed again this year, thanks to the clear waters, beach and environmentally sustainable tourism-environmental management policies of this resource by the municipality of Levico Terme.


Extending over 1 square kilometer and with a maximum depth of 38 meters, it is very reminiscent in its conformation of a Norwegian fjord.


The shores of Lake Levico are mostly characterized by green woods, where numerous regenerating walks can be taken, including the picturesque Via dei Pescatori.

On the eastern shore of the lake, where the historic town of Levico Terme overlooks, there are two equipped bathing establishments and a free beach.

Levico Terme, a renowned thermal locality, offers travelers numerous accommodation options: camping sites close to the lake, hotels near the beach, in the historic center, or on the slopes of nearby Mount Panarotta, room rentals, bed and breakfasts, and vacation apartments.

These solutions meet the needs of all guests staying in the area for spa and wellness vacations at the lake, as well as those seeking winter vacations, visiting the Hapsburg Park Christmas Markets or skiing on the slopes of Panarotta 2002.

There are numerous restaurants in town offering typical menus and reinterpretations of the best traditional Trentino dishes.
 

Lake Levico is one of the ideal places to practice fishing, thanks to the numerous fish species that inhabit the waters. Many lovers of this activity come to the place especially for trout fishing.

 

Visit the Biotope Canneto di Levico, a protected bend rich in perilacual vegetation along the southern shores of the lake.
