The Eagle of Marcesina
Branches of various shapes, broken roots, and an idea: the creation of sculptures with recovered wood from storm Vaia, which hit Trentino in 2018.
The Eagle of Marcesina is the newest work by Veneto artist Marco Martello in art Martalar.
We are located in Località Barricata, in the municipality of Grigno.
In flight, admiring the peaks
At 7 meters high and 5 meters long and weighing 1,600 kg, it is the largest wooden Eagle in Europ, a symbol of strength and freedom. Imposing and majestic, a huge wooden eagle spreads its wings toward the horizon and directs its gaze to the places affected by storm Vaia.
How to get there
By car, you can safely drive up to the parking lot of Rifugio Barricata, coming up from the road to Enego. From the parking lot you can get to the Opera via a short 5-minute walk along a convenient, well-marked path.
Remember that the road up from Grigno is still closed.
