Sunday, 19 October 2025 – Castelnuovo, Spagolle (Maso Spagolle)

The event dedicated to the flavours and traditions of mountain pastures is back: the Valsugana Mountain Cheese Exhibition and Competition is now in its sixteenth edition.

Organised by the Cav. Luciano and Cav. dott. Agostino de Bellat Foundation in collaboration with the Edmund Mach Foundation, the event promotes alpine dairy production and the work of the alpine dairy farmers of Valsugana and Tesino.

A day full of tastings, music, technical meetings and celebrations to honour the quality and tradition of our mountain cheeses.

PROGRAMME

9:00 am Opening of the exhibition with alpine cheese tastings until 6:00 pm
Exhibition of traditional alpine dairy equipment

9:30 am – 11:30 am Closing of the Valsugana and Tesino Green Community Project, funded by the PNRR.
Technical reports by representatives of the Edmund Mach Foundation and speeches by local administrators at Villa de Bellat.

11:30 a.m. AWARD CEREMONY FOR THE 16TH VALSUGANA ALPINE CHEESE FESTIVAL

From 12:30 p.m. Refreshments provided in collaboration with the Borgo Valsugana Alpini 

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Music with the TRIFISA band

3:00 p.m. Themed conferences at Villa de Bellat:
Presentation by Dr Rosaria Lucchini of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of the Veneto entitled ‘Guidelines for the control of STEC in unpasteurised milk and dairy products’

3:45 p.m. Presentation by Dr. Martina Loss, forestry expert, entitled ‘Large carnivores: evolution of European, national and provincial legislation’

4:30 p.m. Presentation by Dr. Paolo Zanghellini of the PAT Wildlife Service entitled ‘Provincial programmes and policies on large carnivores’

5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Music with the group TRIFISA

6:00 p.m. Closing of the exhibition
