Arte Sella

Arte Sella is an international exhibition of contemporary art, born in 1986, which takes place in open air fields, in the woods of Sella Valley ( Borgo Valsugana, Trento).

Since 1996 Arte Sella project has been developing along the mountain road on the south side of Mount Armentera: consequently now there is a route called ArteNatura where tourists can see the works and meanwhile enjoy the particular landscape of this zone ( different kind of woods, rocks, trees…)

This exhibition is not just an occasion for showing artworks, but it is also above all a creative process: the works are continuously in progress and the artist expresses through  his work a respectful relationship with nature, taking inspiration and motivation from it.

EVENTS
These artworks are generally in 3-D, as they are made of rocks, leaves, branches or trunks; They are rarely made of artificial objects, materials or colours. When the exhibition closes, many works are left in the woods, where they can take part to the life- cycle, while others are placed in other museums, art galleries or show rooms in Italy or abroad.

Since a few years Arte Sella’s activities have taken place in Malga Costa, located in Sella Valley too, where, in an impressively attractive natural landscape, there are several exhibitions, events, creative workshops, which contribute to give to this area an  artistic connotation.

Timetable Malga Costa area:
November, December, January and February: every day from 10.00 am to 5.00pm;
March, April, May, October: every day from 10.00 to 6.00pm ;
June, July, August, September: every day from 10.00am to 7.00pm ;
Closed December 25th.

Timetable Villa Strobele Garden :
The Villa Strobele Garden could be visited from 16th April to November 

November: every day from 10 am to 5 pm; 
May, October: daily from 10 to 6 pm;
June, July; August; September: daily from 10 am to 7 pm.

We kindly remind you that the last entrance to the museum is an hour before closing time.

Arte Sella routes are closed to the public after closing time.
In winter the visit to Arte Sella begins at Malga Costa area.
In case of severe weather conditions, especially in winter, the routes may be subject to closure; in that case it is recommended to verify the information by contacting the following telephone numbers:
