Discovering Castel Selva

Monday 13, 27 July and 10, 24 August,8:30 PM

Meeting point at Selva di Levico, in Piazza SS. Fabiano e Sebastiano
From 8:30 PM to 10:45 PM

Situated above the village of Selva, near Levico Terme, the castle was built in the 8th century as a refuge during the Barbarian Invasions, likely on the site of an earlier prehistoric hillfort. Rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries, it served as a residence for the Prince-Bishops of Trento. In later centuries, the stronghold passed to other owners until it was purchased by the Municipality of Levico in 1799. Now reduced to ruins, the castle can be reached on foot via an easy path starting from the village of Selva.

The evening walks will be led by a mid-mountain guide.

On the evening of Monday, August 24, there will be a tour featuring musical accompaniment provided by the Music School.

A free activity suitable for families.

Hiking footwear and a headlamp are recommended.
